iFest’08 gives support to Pecha Kucha night in Barcelona. But, what is Pecha Kucha night?
Pecha Kucha Night (a Japanese word for the sound of conversation) was conceived in 2003 as a forum in which creative work can be easily and informally shown, based on a highly entertaining premise: invite a group of creative people to talk about their current work. This experience has expanded to over 120 cities around the world and Barcelona will be the next!
Pecha Kucha Night is an interdisciplinary event where the content of the presentations is free, but where architecture, sociology, design, fashion, music, photography, films, multimedia… could find an interaction place. Nowadays the phenomenon has recently spread to the world of business. Pecha Kucha Night is characterized by rapid staging and minimal formats, where each speaker could, use only 20 slides, with each slide on screen for just 20 seconds, it means that each speaker have 6 minutes + 40 seconds. At the end of the presentations, the event becomes a meeting place between the participants, causing the union between innovative with different creative profiles.
Petz Scholtus, eco-designer involved in the creative scene in Barcelona for 4 years, is the person who is organizing and promoting this event. You can find more information in:
